By Stephen C. Lundin, Ph. D.

Most management or human resource professionals are familiar with Stephen Lundin through his previous title, Fish!  In this new and upbeat take on the importance of innovation, Dr. Lundin takes the reader on a stroll through practical and lighthearted explanations and "lives" of innovation, such as:

§           what innovation really is, on both a personal and professional level;

§           what challenges innovation faces in an organization and how to disarm them;

§           what kinds of innovation exist, and how to take advantage of them; and

§           how to sustain an innovative environment.

Lundin takes the reader through the nine lives of a CAT, including creating an innovation friendly environment, being prepared for innovation, learning to say, "How Fascinating!" amongst others.

In his own words, A CAT for Lundin is simply, “an everyday human being who learns how to release his or her creative potential and develops the skills and understandings critical to innovation.”

The bottom line is that this book is helpful and fun.  Lundin even offers "continuing education" for readers to earn three CAT belts online.  These assignments relate to resistance, the establishment of goals, and much more.

I recommend picking up CATS!  the next chance you get.  The cat analogy is entertaining, but the positive and informative content will take you through the whole book in one sitting!
